Privacy Policy

The short version

We use the details you send to call you about your garage door and to pass your request to one company that works in your area. That's it. We don't sell your information and we don't use it to advertise to you. Nothing more.

What you send us

• Name and phone number, plus an email address if you choose to add one.
• Your city or neighborhood.
• A description of the problem and the type of repair you picked.

What is recorded automatically

Like most websites, ours keeps basic technical logs through the hosting provider: pages viewed, time, browser type, approximate location of the connection and the referring page. We also count presses of the call buttons and form submissions to understand which pages help people. No advertising trackers are used.

A small amount of information may be stored in your browser so the forms and the call-back window work. It isn't used to follow you elsewhere online, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Why we use it

To ring you back, to arrange the repair, to share your request with the company that does the work and to follow up if needed. Aggregated, anonymous numbers, such as requests per city, help us improve the site.

We won't send you newsletters or promotions, and we won't call about anything other than the request you made.

Who sees it

One independent garage door company covering your area receives your name, number, area and description of the problem. Service providers that host the site, deliver form messages and route email handle the data only to provide those services.

We never publish your details, and the company that receives them may use them only to contact you and carry out the work you asked for.

How long it's kept

Up to two years, so we can deal with follow-ups or complaints about a repair. Then it's deleted, unless the law requires otherwise.

Test entries and spam submissions are deleted sooner. If you ask us to delete your request before then, we will, unless we need it to resolve an open complaint.

Your rights

Ask us what we hold about you, ask for corrections or ask us to delete it by writing to the address below. We'll reply within a reasonable time.

You don't need to give a reason, and making a request about your data costs nothing.

Children

The site is intended for adults arranging repairs to their home. We don't knowingly collect children's information.

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. Write to [email protected] with any privacy question.
